Even a Hurricane can't keep me from grilling

Hamburgers and beer!  Maybe the last cooked meal we have for a few days!

Hurricane Irene- Aug 26-27, 2011

We were braced for a Cat 2 Hurricane but she lost strength and came ashore as a Cat 1 thank goodness!   Still caused lots of damage from winds and water.  We faired pretty well.  Not much damage to our structures like when Hurricane Ophelia came through in 2005.  Our fish house didn't take a trip up the creek-that lesson was learned :) .  Terry and Jerry spent a good part of Friday securing things and getting th e"little boat" off the lift. Here are a few pics Terry has been able to send.  First 2 pics were Friday, the others were Sat morning after a night of high winds and rain.
